Intro Email Instructions

Intro Email Instructions:

I'd also like for you to write to me an email of introduction. I'm looking forward to talking to each of you one-on-one, but this helps get the ball rolling.

Please write me a carefully proofread, paragraphed letter introducing yourself in relationship to the course topic and goals. You will not receive credit for this assignment if you send me a list of "answers". Write me an actual letter!

What (if any) are your personal writing goals for this course?
What (if any) are your scholarly writing goals for this course?
What (if any) are your professional writing goals for this course?
What are your feelings about the course topic and title?
Do you have any preexisiting experience or hold any preexisting opinions related to the course topic?
What are three questions about writing that you'd like to answer over the course of the semester?
What are three questions about the course topic that you'd like to answer over the course of the semester?

Thanks for your patience during all of this start-up stuff! We'll get into the swing of things as quickly as we everly can.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to English 102! Below you'll find a quick introduction to this blog.

You can access our course syllabus via the link list at the far right of this web page. Please read this document carefully and be sure to ask me lots of questions. This is a live document, which means that the course schedule in this syllabus will develop as the semester progresses, so be sure to check it frequently. I'll be sure to let you know whenever I make a major update.

I will be using this blog to communicate with you on a daily/weekly basis, and to post readings, resources and class notes. That means that you MUST keep up with the content of this blog-- you should make a point to check it prior to each class session. There is a widget in the lower left hand corner of the blog homepage that allows you to receive an email alert every time I make a new post. I highly recommend it.

Finally, if there's anything you'd like to share with the class (a link, a photo, a question, a reading, a cool website or resource) feel free to forward it to me and I'll make a post for it!

Really looking forward to gettting to know ya'll,

Anna
